Positive Psychology of Coworking Spaces Like The Common Space

The Common Space, Pergola Mall, BF Homes, Paranaque
Recent studies show there are problems associated with working at home or at a coffee shop such as suffering the feeling of isolation. Most of us have internet connection at home or can go to a coffee shop to work online, yet with the social support system that is created in a coworking space that is vastly different from a traditional work place as which has supervisors, being in such a work environment greatly enhances productivity as each coworker goes about with their independent activity.

The Common Space, Pergola Mall, BF Homes, Paranaque

A coworking space is a modern social work environment, and there are other positive factors to having this kind of shared office space. It is possible to network, there might be collaborations, sharing of ideas, gaining or providing feedback, and since there is no task interdependence, the pressure and stress found in a traditional workplace is not present. Neither is the high noise level of coffee shops and other wifi zones - and the atmosphere greatly aids in focusing on work plus the vibe of a work environment is present.

The social group of a coworking space brings about supportive behavior. Though each coworker is independent, can be interaction, and with the ethical nature of being in a coworking space, like keeping the voice low, having to clean up after using the pantry facilities, ensuring that the area used is clean after use - there is a responsibility that comes with having a shared office space.

As more independent professionals seek to have an office space that is affordable with complete facilities, there are a number of coworking spaces in Metro Manila like The Common Space. You'll find these coworking spaces in the heart of business districts such as Makati and Bonifiacio Global City.

There are many coworkers that are into software design, web development, consultancy, language services, consultancy, management, journalism, blogging, and writing. Renting a coworking space for a day or for even longer is a practical decision, and provides more savings that renting a traditional office that requires a down payment, advance rental, furnishing the rented place, and having to install an internet connection, and having to get an assistant. A coworking space is a ready-made office that does have a receptionist, and all that you need for an office is there.

There is a coworking space in Paranaque that provides the positive psychology atmosphere and has complete office facilities. It is The Common Space, located at the 2nd floor of Pergola Mall, Aguirre Avenue, BF Homes. It is open from Mondays to Saturdays, from 9 am to 9 pm. There is wifi, unlimited coffee and other beverages like tea. This can be used as a virtual office for mail handling and for the address to be used in corporation papers, and can be rented for meeting places and events. You may get more information by clicking this link to visit The Common Space website .

Is Your Vitamin C Safe

The New Year gives us another chance at a fresh start. After the unhealthy lifestyle during the holidays, our immune system is just starting to recuperate and get back to normal. One sure way to speed up its recovery is to take optimum levels of Vitamin C.

But did you know, that when taking Vitamin C, we have to be careful of several factors such as the type and quality of Vitamin C because not all vitamin C are the same!

The most common type of Vitamin C is ascorbic acid. This type of vitamin C has been by far, the cheapest form of Vitamin C, but did you know that when taken at higher quantities, ascorbic acid is not exempted from harmful side effects. Diarrhea, Nausea, Stomach Cramps, Headache, Hyperacidity, Hot flushes and Heartburn are just some of the symptoms of taking too much ascorbic acid.

In the recent decade, Sodium Ascorbate has given the public the safest and most effective type of vitamin C. Bewell-C (Sodium Ascorbate) is a non-acidic Vitamin C supplement that is rapidly gaining popularity among the public as a high quality and effective brand. Bewell-C is the next generation vitamin C that provides all the benefits of vitamin C without the risk of hyperacidity.
Doctors recommend that we take 2 capsules per day of Bewell-C. Some people require a higher dose per day if they are experiencing the following:
Flu:

People suffering from Flu virus are recommended to take 6 capsules of Bewell-C per day and 4 capsules while recovering from flu. Whereas, those who are suffering from colds and cough are recommended to take at least 6 capsules until they have recovered.

Research study also pointed out that most healthy adults get a cold two or three times a year and taking large doses of Vitamin C daily shortens the duration of colds.

Smokers and Alcohol Drinkers

Alcohol, Nicotine and other substance in cigarette causes cell damage and drains vitamins and nutrition from your body.
Smokers and those who often drink alcohol experience lower immune system and are susceptible to various diseases thus, they are required to take at least 4 capsules of Bewell-C to help maintain their health.

Post-Surgery

People who underwent surgery are recommended to take high doses of Vitamin C as much as 6 capsules Bewell-C daily to hasten wound healing. Vitamin C is essential in the formation of new connective tissue in healing wound.

For those who need both Vitamin C and Calcium, Bewell-C plus calcium is also available in the market. Just like Bewell-C, this product also uses non-acidic vitamin C paired with organic calcium fortified with Vitamin D for stronger bones and teeth.

Bewell-C and Bewell-C Plus Calcium is available in all leading drugstores nationwide and on Lazada.com.ph Online Shopping: http://www.lazada.com.ph/bewell-nutraceuticals-corporation/. For more updates, follow their FB: https://www.facebook.com/bewellcsodiumascorbate

SOS Children'd Village Festive Cheer From Herbalife Family Foundation

Herbalife Family Foundation brings festive cheer
to over 200 children at the SOS Children’s Village In the Philippines

PHILIPPINES, Manila, December 16, 2016 – To cap off an eventful year, Herbalife Family Foundation (HFF) visited two of its beneficiary organizations under, SOS Children’s Village, to bring the festive cheer to over 200 children. During the visits, HFF Philippines held activities, which brought fun and joy and left big smiles on the children’s faces.

As part of the activities, Herbalife donated a total of 250 books to the Batangas and Bataan Villages of SOS through the CASA Herbalife Program, the flagship project of HFF. The books were given by Herbalife independent members and guests via a month-long book collection program organized by Herbalife Philippines, and benefitted 245 children from the villages.

Barbette Soliven, Corporate Communications Manager at Herbalife Philippines and the lead organizer of the activities said, “Ever since we started these visits enabled by the CASA Herbalife program, we have strived to make it a more engaging experience for both the volunteers and the kids. I’m heartened to see that we have achieved that this time round, and am glad to see the smiles on the childrens’ and volunteers’ faces at the end of the day.”

Herbalife distributors, executives and volunteers also spent two consecutive Saturdays (November 26 and December 3) at the SOS facilities in Lipa, Batangas and Mariveles, Bataan, where they spent time interacting with and playing with the children.

One of the key highlights was the Ultimate Frisbee Clinic organized by Herbalife Philippines, where the children were taught the basics of the sport, before culminating in a scrimmage game played together with the volunteer team. The eventual winning team was applauded by all the participants, and won themselves a Herbalife T-shirt and a Frisbee each.

“We are very grateful to all the Members who have supported the activities and took time to be with us; as well as the young volunteers who joined us in teaching these kids the sport of Ultimate Frisbee, ” Barbette Soliven added.

SOS Children’s Village has been a recipient of the CASA Herbalife program for six years now. In 2016, grants from HFF were used to conduct supplementary feeding programs and provide nutrition education at targeted locations within the Philippines, benefitting 609 children below the age of 12 in 24 communities.

First established in the United States in 2005, the CASA Herbalife Program aims to improve the lives of children around the world by bringing good nutrition to those living in orphanages, attending after-school centers, and other non-profit facilities. Through the CASA Herbalife Program, Herbalife provides over $3.2 million in funding and volunteer assistance to more than 130 organizations around the world each year, bringing good nutrition to thousands of children in orphanages, community centers and hospitals in over 50 countries around the world.

Whispered Stay

Far beyond a dream, it hails enduring. Waiting for that time was worthwhile, not to be exchanged, encompassing. For once it has been found, though denial has a solid hold on the ground, what it is was a request for a whispered stay, as when the bond is broken, it leads to dismay. Such hopeless moments trash in the mind, wondering what the future might hold, but the offering must be and can only be that of today, now, here, and that whispered stay.

The cool strong breeze sifted the cobwebs on my mind as I stood up overlooking the busy street. It was refreshingly, invigoratingly sublime, peaceful, comfortable, more that companionship to disrobe the stressors of life. In one instance before, it was a far away look, seen more than trice, that brought about the request for the whispered stay.

The dying had begun and on hold for all the beauty that life has to offer, the trivial and meaningless must be swept away. For refusal to change a decision changed so many times before has come about dur to multiple limitation set, and the sadness has set into the heart of one. As much as a smile to hold back the tears thar will not flow because of hope, the frustration of the daily routine loveliness of the cool breeze and the night sky disappears and drifts away, aground with reality, though what is true has unfolded, thus the pain begins, striking the heart, to tuck and seal away what was longer for. This saness is not mine to bear - a mind that refuses to be happy and hold what is there, a mind that has given up because of the rendering of limitions, coming out like lame excuses.

We can lie to everyone but no matter how much we lie to ourselves, we can never convince ourselves.

The loneliness trek of an abused dog comes to mind. Bit of treats are thrown at them, once in a while, yet those treats still fill the abuser's needs. When the dog is whimpering ill, the irritation will begin, and the abuse will be worse, as the weakness will be made into a time when retaliation or more like, lack of usefulness, will take place. Normal behavior is a routine daily life, one filled with days and nights filled with pleasantness and caring. Yet, in so many ways, the cards have been folded, seems like opting out of the game of life, way beyond the time before the last breath is taken.

Creating white trellis walls in a life that needs no escape, to interplay twinkling or steady white lights and small flowers to go with the season or holiday, a romantic athmosphere can be set but yet - the empty chair of one that was waited for all these years will remain empty. The gladness and gratitude is there for having found him, and the sadness will not come to light as there is a positive charge in the universe around us. Let the mind be free, break the chains that shackle, and go for what is intrinsic in our lives, the ultimate need, which is the pursuit of happiness.

Thus, holding on, not letting go, keeping that whispered stay, for the dying not to begin. Happiness is more than a choice, it is a decision, and in letting go, what sadness is seen.

Artist Hayden Sison to Hold Duterte-Inspired Exhibit

Avante-garde artist Hayden Sison will unveil his latest collection of masterpieces inspired by the leading political figures in the country today at an exhibit entitled “Adventures in Digongland (More High Fructose Corn Syrup)" to be held at the SM Art Center in Megamall from January 3 to 14, 2017.

Some of the artworks to be showcased in the exhibit will feature his interpretations of President Rodrigo R. Duterte. “My latest collection is inspired by events and personalities from the last presidential elections leading to the first 100 days of President Duterte. It is about the here and now and the mystery and suspense that comes with it. We can only guess what's going to happen tomorrow in ‘Digongland’,” said Sison, who has been vocal about his admiration of President Duterte even prior to the election.

“As an artist and an observer, my job is to notice things. ‘Digongland’ is where we are now and where we will be for the next six years. I'm just adding what I notice to the audio-visual pollution,” he expounded, adding further that, “This show is quite different from the first ‘High Fructose Corn Syrup’ as it reflects many questions and uncertainties from a lot of sectors of society and what's in store for the country.”

For this fast-rising visual artist, his recent exhibit offers “art that is created from within but inspired by what is without.“ He experiments with various media to bring out a “sense of fun, play and freedom” while trying to derive meaning from the characters in the frontline of governance.

“I work with oil paint sticks, oil pastel, acrylic paint, graphite pencils and pretty much any stuff I can get my hands on when I'm working. I work intuitively, often without sketching, based on ideas I collect in my head. I don't use pencils. Often it's straight into paint or ink. I like the no-backing-out feel to capture my muse. I like the randomness and the way the images work it's way into the final piece. It creates a lot of mood and tension,” he said.

Sison is known for art that reflects dark humor, satire or double meanings. However, this is the first time his artistic mischief will focus on politics or political commentary.

Adventures in Digongland (More High Fructose Corn Syrup)" will have a private and exclusive artist’s reception for friends of the artist, collectors, patrons and the media on January 7, 5pm. For those interested to attend, kindly contact the artist at 0917 700 8251to be included in the guest list.
