The opening of Moonleaf BF Homes at The Pergola Mall made me recall the time I went with one of my daughters to Moonleaf Maginhawa St, at QC. At that time, bubble milk tea was not yet popular, though there were other stalls that offered cold preparations with sago.

At that time, I did not drink milk tea. I did say yes to my daughter's request for her to order there, as she does drink a lot of tea and said that it was a must-try. Since there was no Moonleaf in the South then, she got her fill after ordered her brew. As she explained to me what makes Moonleaf different from those small shops, I simply listened and tasted her milk tea. I cannot argue with an expert.

Now that bubble milk tea is one of the most popular beverages in the Philippines, thanks to Moonleaf, I have had the delight of trying various milk teas. During the recent WOFEX 2019, on the second floor of SMX, there was so much milk tea sampling. Thanks to the discerning palate of my daughter, and the exposure at WOFEX as I got to see the supplies, and after we had visited more milk teas shops since Maginhawa, I have learned how to note the difference between powdered preparations and those made with brewed tea.

There is nothing wrong with powdered drinks, please note that. It is just that freshly brewed tea is better. The choice of tea leaves also makes a difference. Moonleaf brews their own tea from the finest selection of leaves and adheres to the standard that made them boom from that one store in Maginhawa a few years ago to have over 60 branches all over the Philippines.

Now that Moonleaf is open at BF Homes, it would be easier for me and my family to enjoy their drinks that come with good vibes. It's the easiest thing to take home, and it is the place to hang out as it does have the right vibe, and you will like the friendly staff, and the fast service.

Why drink Moonleaf?

ChachaGo milk tea 

ChachaGo milk tea is rich and creamy, and it has roasted black pearls. If you have tried it, then. it's good for you to know that this is where you can go take your father for a treat - or take yourself for one, and share another with a family member or a friend, or keep it for later! 

Roasted pearls 

Soft and chewy, these make a difference as the texture alone is so good, and it has the tapioca healthy goodness. It makes the beverage much more filling and adds texture to the over-all mix. These pearls are easily digested, as you can bite through them. Comparing the roasted pears to the others I have tried, it does make it tops as the cooking process of ChachaGo pearls take 45 minutes. However, if you prefer to skip out on the pearls, there are other choices such as fruit pudding, grass jelly, nata de coco, and coffee jelly.
