Robinsons Townville: Grand Wellness Day & Zumba Party Event Review

We celebrate life with occasions such as the Grand Wellness Day.
It encompasses more things than a simple get-together. It is a call to action.

Robinsons Townville has a wonderful, airy event area on the 2nd floor of this BF Homes, Paranaque mall. The area is well-secured and there is parking at the basement, Access is easy as there is an elevator and an escalator. Robinson Townville is notably wheel-chair friendly. It is a wide-open space that is cool and breezy even during the hot summer months. The structure of the building prevents the elements, especially when the sun is searing hot, and the torrential rain from entering the area. This area is suitable for lounging, and when there is an event, the stage is set.

Registration and free blood-pressure checkup

Many of the women arrived ahead of time. They were lounging at the balcony area, all dressed up in red, and ready for the Zumba party. The registration was according to number, and that'll be the spot the person will stay at during the dancing as the wide expansive floor was marked with numbers. The numbering is important and staying in the spot as it was to be used by the judges for deciding who will get the various prizes at the end of the party.  On the same table, there was a blood pressure check-up. All the participants and non-participants were able to check their blood pressure for free.

Launch of a donation campaign

The Grand Wellness Day began with an awareness campaign for the less fortunate. It was the launch of the donation drive of the barangay with the charming and beautiful Kagawad Cielo Lazatin spearheading the noblesse oblige campaign. There was also a product tasting for an all-natural kids product which is Byba. There were unique large inflatable balls with a hollow center that the children were allowed to play with.

Zumba party

The next part was the much-awaited Zumba party which was 120 minutes of dancing. There was a bevy of professional dance instructors who had the moves and the grooves to make the exercise routine fun. The choice of music went from slow for the warm-up, to funtastic, then the cool down. There were short breaks in between each song, and a long break after the first hour. Here's our fun selfie video at the start of the event.

A red party

Then there was the awarding of prizes. It was the moment that some had been hoping for, though most attended as they are regulars to the Zumba group. They also brought a few friends along, as the number of attendees that signed up ahead of did arrive. There were a small number of latecomers that flowed in, all wearing red, in the spirit of the theme.

If you are from BF or have ever graced Robinsons Townsville with your presence to go shopping at Robinsons Supermarket, Daiso, and Handyman, you might have been one of those who watched with fascination the energetic women who dance to Zumba music every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon.

To join the regular Zumba sessions costs only 50 pesos. Everyone is welcome to walk-in and be part of the exercise group. I have often watched, and did join the dancing party of the Grand Wellness Day, and the result? I was glowing. I never thought that I could go dance that long - yet thanks to the music, the instructors, and the encouragement of the women, saying that just stand and keep moving slowly when you are tired, I was able to Zumba.

Grand Wellness Day

|Let's take this Grand Wellness Day seriously, to continue the principles shared for the rest of our lives. It is a celebration of life, health, and friendship. Wellness is an overall thing, and may we all keep in mind that when we do take care of our body, good things follow. It is a daily decision to eat well, and do other things, such as exercise.

Being A Kidz Club Member Makes Life Better

Is your kid part of a club? It is time for them to join the Robinsons Townville Kidz Club that has activities lined up for a year. A child needs to explore the world, right? There are events that provide them the venue for their time to be glorious. Taking it a step further from the basic family unit, neighbors, and school, a child will reap great benefits from going to an event.

Hands-on Activity

The Kidz Club event at Robinsons Townville, BF Homes last July 13, 2019, made the children have a glorious time. It was a free event for the members who have a card which only cost 150 pesos, valid for one year worth of events plus other perks.

Value of Saving Demo
The event began with the host opening remarks welcoming everyone. Then, it went straight to an intensive savings lesson with a demonstration. The next activity was that of taking a tour of the two stores near the event area, which are Handyman and Daiso. The children passed every aisle of Handyman and Daiso, focusing on what was available, without having to shop. It added to their knowledge as they learned what the tools are, and other essentials that were at Handyman.

There was the chance to do a hands-on activity for a few kids to be the cashier at Daiso, and to be able to use the tool that'll recognize the bar code. Daiso also was a great experience for them, as instead of just looking at what they want, they gathered the awareness of what other things are in the store that can be bought to make their lives much better, such as organizers. During the feedback portion, one kid said that what was learned was taking a tour is nice. That statement in itself made it clear that there are benefits of being a Kidz Club member and joining events.

Then it was time a couple more activities. There was the "Make Your Own Bag" where the little ones painted a canvas bag. Then, children made marshmallows wrapped in crushed Graham crackers and covered with sprinkles. These were placed in a clear container with a label so they could market their finished product. After the products were completed, it was time to take a trip downstairs to the display area that was set up right in front of the door of Robinsons Supermarket. The kids stood behind the table and all their good got sold, as it was the parents who will buy the products for the kids to take home.

Focused on Task
Family Bonding Moments

Learning the spirit of entrepreneurship to include leadership skills, team building, and interpersonal skills is what the kids gained. Those glorious moments are many, as they stood up on stage, and had their moment in the sun. Other glorious moments include being able to have more than one chance to stand out and be accomplished during the entire event.
Kidzpreneur Holding His Sales Income
The event ended before dark and the kids went home happy, with pockets full of earning. The Kidzpreneur: Mini Bosses for a Day event at Robinsons Townville BF Homes was jammed pack with well-thought-out activities that the Kidz Club member greatly benefited from. Thank you to the team of Robinsons Townville for making this event help children gain skills and learning and provide us with unforgettable moments.

Join the fun next time and get ready by registering to be a Kidz Club member.
