Visit Malolos, Bulacan for a Heritage Tour

Going on a heritage tour to Malolos, Bulacan, is one that is a learning experience. This place is steeped with Philippine history because it was one of the central meet up areas during those freedom fighting years.

Seeing that church door that was featured in the 10 peso bill before, and being able to walk the steps and stay inside the bahay na bato walls, those tall ceilings and airy windows has not decreased the impressive atmosphere, but to feel it, you just have to be there, walking the shiny wooden floors.

You'll feel the pride in their history as they share their knowledge, and note the shy, non-imposing nature of the people of the town, who are extremely receptive and highly accommodating.

The visit was like a red carpet to walk on was in each place that I went to.

Then, we went to the simple farm home of the Mayor and he explained the importance of our country having a Republic Day.

Malolos is known for their food such as the native delicacies - but on a heritage tour, what is served are the favorite dishes of Philippine heroes and the unique pinaso.

But, there is another thing about Malolos that surprise me during the Heritage tour that I took, and this was the craft.

If I had a wish, it might have been made at this well, and I hope to go back to Malolos, to see more of the wonderful place.
