Filipinos do love to eat rice and typically order extra rice when they eat out. When one buys from Boy Kanin, this need not be done, as their rice meals has nearly two cups of rice, which maybe plain rice or their yellow rice which is quite flavorful. The large serving of rice does make the difference, and the proportion to the viand is just right.
Most food stall have servings that are enough to stop the hunger or have items that are considered as snacks. Boy Kanin has meals, and their Filipino style burrito, which can be considered as a heavy snack.

Bread wraps are quite popular nowadays. The Boy Kanin burrito has a soft bread wrap that holds flavorful rice, cheese, and meat. The meat is cut into small pieces. Unlike the Mexican burrito, this contains no beans. It tastes different also from that Mexican dish as it does not contain those kinds of spices. It is a comfort food as the cheese makes the rice stick together and adds a creaminess to the dish. It is so big, that I shared it with my daughter, and it is very filling. Unique, good, it hits the spot.
