At Tuloy sa Don Bosco, during the Herbalife foundation donation, we were not allowed to take close up pictures of the children.

Some are victims of abuse, like the unspeakable kind, along with some that have other social services cases. A way to have a new life, short of giving them a new identity like a new name, this place provides more than protection, with food, clothing, shelter, and education. Children should be protected, indeed, giving them more than their basic needs for them to grow up independent and strong to face the challenges of the world.

The hurt of these kids was visible on some faces at the start of the program. If you know that a child was being abused, what would you do?

Circumstances bring about poor street children, and they do need help that is provided by the right places like Tuloy sa Don Bosco located at the entrance of San Jose Village, Alabang, just in front of the terminal area of ATC.

Children Need Help

Many big companies donate to charity because it is tax deductible. This is what made the dontation of Herbalife different. Since Tuloy sa Don Bosco cannot provide that kind of receipt right now, as they are short of social workers which is pegged at one for 20 children, and nuns and teachers and other professionals are not allowed to be placed in the role of a social worker, making it difficult for them to fulfill the red tape requirements of the government agency, whatever is given to them is truly a donation to charity.

The wonderful scents captured me, immobilized, as I stood in front of the Lemongrass House doors which is located at Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati. I just stood there to breathe the air, filled with delightfully light scents and felt the relaxing and rejuvenating benefits of aromatherapy in just a minute.

The scents were mixed but not overwhelming like other similar stores. It was light and made me feel so good, that when I was asked to come inside, I was eager to learn more, well, admittedly, it was more like wanting to step into a room with filled with air that is so good to breathe.

There were hundreds of items in this natural products store, and these are freshly-made with all-natural ingredients.

Herbalife Family Foundation Launches Casa Herbalife Program with Tuloy Foundation, Inc. to Improve Nutrition of Children

 

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, JUNE 302016 – The Herbalife Family Foundation (HFF), a non-profit organization committed to helping vulnerable children, recently announced the opening of its second Casa Herbalife Program in the Philippines, together with - Tuloy Foundation, Inc. (the Foundation) – an institution committed to uplifting the lives of poor, abandoned and neglected street children.

Under the Program, HFF will provide an initial financial grant of 20,000USDto the Foundation. The funds will improve access to good nutrition for the children at the Foundation through the renovating of the Foundation’s central kitchen.

Fr. Marciano “Rocky” G. Evangelist, SDB established Tuloy Foundation, Inc. in 1993, to provide a comprehensive rehabilitation program for street children in Manila. It has achieved outstanding success and worldwide recognition for its innovative programs that help poor and abandoned children to regain their self-worth and dignity, giving them a chance for a better life.

In the Philippines, HFF currently supports the S.O.S. Children’s Village in Ayala AlabangMuntinlupa City. Under the program, the Village receives an annual grant that helps provide nutritious food to children living there.
