coworking place the South, nestled in BF Homes, Parañaque, is the solution that you might have been looking for when it comes to the need to work and having your own office.

Blogger Rod Gabriel and Ed Gonzalez
Get one hour free use of The Common Space.
Go visit The Common Space Facebook page to see how!

Of course, there's Starbucks, right - with the coffee, and you can bring your lappy and portable wifi there, and must have the art of shutting out noise when you need to concentrate - but then here, at The Common Space, there is unlimited brewed hot coffee, cold coffee, hot tea, iced tea, and you can bring in your own munchies. The noise level is that of work, and there is no loud music playing, no people who are there to disturb your concentration, as it is for coworking - a shared office.

This shared office may be rented at a monthly, daily, and for minimum of 3 hours. There are various packages. There is strong wifi at 15 Gbps, and there are two desktops that can be rented at 30 pesos and hour. There is a scanner, printer, and a landline. Just like an office, you can get your mail here, and use this coworking place in Paranaque for an office address.

When we had the blogger's event, with bloggers Rod Gabriel, Ron Barbaza, and online influencer Ed Gonzalez, we made a computation of the monthly rental, to see the cost per day. First, we discussed what a person would need if they would have their own office space, so the rental expense, the electricity, the equipment, and the internet - and since you can use this coworking space for a month, which is 6 working days a week multiplied by 4 weeks, it comes out that 4,500 pesos a month means that you will only spend 187.50 a day.

The bloggers event was that of discussion, turning out to be a meeting where we shared information, and then enjoyed the work atmosphere that this coworking in Parañaque provided. It helps one become more productive to be among people who want to focus on work, and there is a good vibe, that of energy, that comes with this spacious and airy space, that has benches set right outside for the smoking area.

The Common Space is located at the second floor of Pergola Mall, Aguirre Ave, Parañaque. You may learn more about it by accessing The Common Space Facebook page.

Steveston Pizza: More Made Better

If is worth doing, it is worth overdoing - and that is what Steveston Pizza adheres to. Gourmet ingredients overloaded to the max, making it seem like a deep dish but it is not. When it comes to the finest ingredients, this pizza restaurant does have the best, the largest, and the most toppings ever, even if you compare it to any other pizza in the Philippines.

Yes, that is smoked salmon in the center
Toppings Do Matter

What's on the last pizza that you ate? What were the toppings? Think back, and the primary question is - were you totally satisfied? There are ordinary pizzas and those that are mediocre, that it can seem to be just a stomach stuffer. What do I call this pizza? The Caveman, perfect for that hungry man.

Pepperoni, genoa salami, back bacon, lean beef and capocolli
Measure for Measure

Aside from the top of the line ingredients such as the various cheese, shrimps, bacon, and other awesome toppings, there is more in every slice of Steveston Pizza, not sparingly placed, it is a generous serving each time.

Crust Makes the Difference

The crust doesn't have additives nor extenders, and it is made the old-fashioned way. Thick enough to hold the heavy toppings but thin enough not to make the symphony, the crust does interplay with the toppings in a great way.

More made better. That is what each pizza at Steveston is. You can expect more than any other pizza place. You can expect better ingredients and you can expect 100% satisfaction.

Franchise Opportunity

Steveston Pizza is open to franchise. Surely, people in the South deserve to have easier access to these pizzas, everybody does deserve a Steveston pizza restaurant nearby. For more information, the contact details are at the Steveston Pizza Facebook page.

Chef Laudico's Feast: More Buffet Choices

With over 100 dishes, affordable great food with the variety of choices is yours at Chef's Laudico's Feast.

Angus Beef Tapa

Located at SM City, Clark, Angeles City, Pampanga, the spacious dining area is made more special by the uniquely Filipino decorative touches such at the impressive Capiz chandeliers. The buffet is make a lot easier to access, as it omits the lines, since the feast is laid out in an oval setting. That eliminates the having to wait in line to get food. The restaurant is airy, seating is comfortable, and there is a lot of parking space available.

This unlimited buffet has a choice of international and Filipino dishes, from appetizers to dessert. It does provide a lot of the most popular dishes in the world. With unlimited beverages, such as iced tea, soda, and coffee, it is indeed a feast, as more than just having a buffet with lots of food choices, there are those dishes that have gourmet touch of Chef' Laudico, done with the passion of a true chef, using the finest ingredients. There are no shortcuts used in the food making process, such as using flavor cubes.

My personal favorite dish was the Angus Tapa, and the kare-kare with their bagoong was totally wonderful. Though there was a variety of rice dishes such as Paella Valenciana, I went for the white rice, which was a level up from most other buffet places, as the rice does make the diff, and this was puff and gloss white, the way I love it. There are so many food items, that I was not able to try them all, and that is one of the reasons why one should dine at Chef's Laudico's Feast, because one will never get bored with what food to eat, as there are over a hundred choices.

It is best to take very small portions at first, to discover what you like, and then to go back for more, and doing this taste-testing, I just had to go back to get more rice and a double serving of the Angus Tapa, as it one of the best that I have ever tasted.

What you can expect from this buffet restaurant is the leveling up of most of the meat dishes, and that is what I can state because I did not have enough tummy space to tackle the seafood, except the sashimi and a few shrimps. The meat is what I went for as I do love the choice cuts from Angus beef,

If you want to enjoy a buffet, and to dine at Chef''s Laudico's Feast which is an experience, and one that is worth repeating again, and again, and again.  Here are the rates:

Rates as of Dec. 2016 : Lunch Monday-Friday: Php 499.00 Kids (3ft-4.5ft): Php 249.00 Dinner Monday-Friday : Php599.00 Kids (3ft-4.5ft): Php 299.00 Weekends and Holidays Adults: Php699.00 Kids (3ft-4.5ft): Php 349.00

Jing Monis Salon: Visible, Professional Hair Care Difference

Fine highlights at Jing Monis Salon
Using the wrong kind of hair dye made me get stuck with black hair for years, too heavy a color for my face. Also, that kind of hair dye literally makes the hair look like a wig because it has a different style of coloring the hair from what is commonly used. I was stuck with black hair, as I did not ever bother to have it done, as maybe, I was hesitant to trust just any parlor, though there are a lot of good ones. I just lived with it, even if I go a lot of advice from people who care about me, like my aunt and a few friends.

Then, I got an invite from Jing Monis Salon, and that was a turning point, making me no longer have any bad hair day. The hair care experts at Jing Monis salon carefully explained to me in detail what the different hair dyes are. The one that I used was metallic - it was one of those shampoo in hair colors, with no peroxide mixing. This metallic hair dye cannot be removed unless it is bleached, and will not allow any other color to be placed on it. The solution that was given to me was to bleach, then highlight, and place a base color. This apparently is quite tricky, as it won't work if the wrong color is chosen, as like with my hair disaster, complete color removal cannot be done in one session, as the bleaching process has to take around 30 minutes. The problem with the bleaching process, when not done by professionals is explained in this video.

Since the stripping off cannot be complete, I was presented with the full head of highlight choice, and it had a lovely red. This color was chosen as it would indeed make my hair look lighter, and other colors would not work. Then, the base color was presented. Though we had a bit of discussion, as I do get to ask a lot of questions which were all answered properly, it was good to leave my hair to professional hands that made the hours in the place a super pampering session.

See the black hair? Bleaching it off

Highlighting process
Precision and Perfection

Attention to detail is what makes the difference. The fact that the hair care supplies are first class, that all the hair care technicians there go through intensive training, and the spirit of perfection, the pride that they take in their work. All was carefully timed such as how long the dye must stay and how long application must take, and the hands were light, no tugging or pulling. There was the finishing process, as to step out of the place made a whole new me, with a lovely crowning glory.

And, I had detailed instructions on how to take care of my hair, what kind of hair dye to use, and what shampoo and conditioner to use. That makes the diff, as I do now have great hair days, daily, even when I just comb it after showering and let it air dry, because of the precision cutting.

If you have hair woes like mine, or other similar hair concerns, go to Jing Monis salon for the hair care expertise that you need.

One Day Silent Auction at Bel-Air

The Women of Bel-Air had a successful fund-raising project on Nov. 17 to 20, 2016. This auction night had a display of the various artwork and items up for auction. These were donated by the various people that live in this area in Makati, and note, that such fund-raising projects are a regular thing.

The event was well-attended. The night was perfect, that of being serenaded with the timeless classics of yesteryears, like when I entered the place, the singer was rendering his version of "O Sole Mio", reminding me of my late husband and how he used to sing that same song. The cocktail food was excellent, the service was great, and the freely-poured wine made the event seem like a party, but there was serious business being done, as the Women of Bel-Air had the auction items such as jewelry, porcelain plate sets, clothes, and the featured artworks on display, with sign up forms for the bids to be placed.

The auction went seamlessly and the place was rather vibrant with excitement, as the various bidders did talk about how they would like to win the item that they placed a bid on.

More than what meets the eye, one would think that there was just a party going on, but then, as explained by in this video, there was the true heart of being noblesse oblige.

How to Solve Parking Problems with DIBZ

Finding an empty parking space can be such a problem but that doesn't have to happen anymore. There is a smarter way to find parking instead of following a park-your-car boy or waiting in the parking lot, hoping that someone will pull out to create the empty space. If you ever had experienced the headache of waiting for minutes for a parking space, driving around an area to find a slot, or perhaps even parking so far away as there is no empty space near by, there is a solution for you.
It is to be expected nowadays that there is no available parking space in certain areas or the ones that are available might be even a block a way. There are many times that the covered parking will be full and might be forced to park in the full heat of the sun, There are other times that the parking space available might be in an unsecured area, and that would be placing your property in danger, yet, there are times when there is no choice but to park there.

I recently experienced this kind of hassle, It was All Saint's Day and we went to a large mall in the Alabang-Zapote area. It was impossible to get into the covered parking area unless I was willing to wait behind a long line of vehicles. I noted that upon entering the parking area that even the open-air parking slots were full. Rather that go through all the hassle of parking which include the time I have to wait for a slot and looking around for an empty space, I left the area and went to another mall, that also was running out of parking slots.

It is not unusual for people to fight over parking space. You can be on the one waiting for the slot then suddenly another vehicle drives into it. This is highly irritating and there is a way to avoid this. There is such a concept as reserved parking space. You'll see in some places like hospitals and office buildings that there are names on the reserved parking spaces.

What if this name could be yours? Wouldn't you want to have a guaranteed parking space in some of the many places that you go to?

DIBZ Business Opportunity: Private Parking Spaces Rental Income

Owning a parking space in a residential area is a big investment. What if it is not utilized all the time, like being empty during the day while you are at work? This parking space can be rented out to with the use of DIBZ. This solution helps generate income and aids in making available more parking space.

We are faced with a number of stressors and one of these is finding parking space. Glide into a guaranteed space when you use the DIBZ app.

Visit Malolos, Bulacan for a Heritage Tour

Ceiling of one of the houses in the Heritage Tour
Going on a heritage tour to Malolos, Bulacan, is one that is a learning experience. This place is steeped with Philippine history because it was one of the central meet up areas during those freedom fighting years.
Malolos Congress
Jose Rizal, National Hero
With the direct descendant of Apolinario Mabini
With the grandson of Vicente Enriquez as he spoke about the "Women of Malolos""
Seeing that church door that was featured in the 10 peso bill before, and being able to walk the steps and stay inside the bahay na bato walls, those tall ceilings and airy windows has not decreased the impressive atmosphere, but to feel it, you just have to be there, walking the shiny wooden floors.

The  Barasoain Church door that was featured in the old 10 peso bill

There was a wedding at  Barasoain Church

Court yard of Barasoain Church
Capiz windows of  Barasoain Church that opened during Inaguration of Erap
Close up of bahay na bato wall of  Barasoain Church
Note the difference in one of the Barasoain Church steps from stone to wood
You'll feel the pride in their history as they share their knowledge, and note the shy, non-imposing nature of the people of the town, who are extremely receptive and highly accommodating.

The visit was like a red carpet to walk on was in each place that I went to.

Then, we went to the simple farm home of the Mayor and he explained the importance of our country having a Republic Day.

One of the native rice-based delicacies called Sapin-Sapin (layered)

Take home food items
Malolos is known for their food such as the native delicacies - but on a heritage tour, what is served are the favorite dishes of Philippine heroes and the unique pinaso.

But, there is another thing about Malolos that surprise me during the Heritage tour that I took, and this was the craft.

If I had a wish, it might have been made at this well, and I hope to go back to Malolos, to see more of the wonderful place.
